Visualisation of Simulated Data in a
Manufacturing Environment

3D animations are intuitively better understood by the human observer than the raw data by way of facts and figures.

The goal of this research and development is to simulate and visualise the discrete events of the entire manufacturing process.

This takes into account the flow of materials, size of buffers and line balancing.

The vivid representation of the simulated reality allows relationships to be directly recognised inside the simulation model.

This also makes the verification and validation of the model's accuracy easier.

Based on simulation and visualisation results, existing processes can be refined. For example, minimising the processing time, waiting time and buffer size.

The system allows for rapid creation of 3D animations from simulation output.

This rapid 3D visualisation of assembly processes based on simulation models supports decision management by facilitating the identification and removal of bottle-necks and costly errors.
