Preoperative Planning

The use of Virtual Reality techniques can also support the surgeon in preoperative planning.

Before performing a surgical procedure on a real patient, the surgeon is able to practice on a virtual patient to simulate the intervention.

In this manner, the safest and most effective approach may be selected requiring less time in the operating room.

This simulation of patient-specific data allows for a lower rate of complications during operation.
