The Peranakans

Motivation
Motivated by the Chinese proverb:

I hear -> I forget
I see -> I remember
I experience -> I understand

Exploration and Interaction with arts in a virtual environment can effectively heighten one's experience.

In our case, we have pin pointed the Peranakans as Singapore's unique heritage for this project.

How the application works
User is submerged into the virtual world of the peranakan way of life with an interactive device such as a calligraphy brush.

They are free to explore shophouses resided by the Peranakans by pointing the interactive device to the areas of interest. For example, with a calligraphy brush, users can choose to practise simple chinese character writing in order to navigate to the place of interest within the scene.

A tour avatar included in the environment further expands interests by providing extra information.
