CAMTech is a joint research and development centre between the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (IGD) of Darmstadt, Germany and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore.

CAMTech is a member of the INI-GraphicsNet.

CAMTech also hosts the student exchange programme between the Technical University Darmstadt (TUD) and Nanyang Technological University.

The European ICT Pavilion showcases an exciting sample of innovative and unique technologies, applications, solutions and products mainly for Audio-Visual, e-Government, e-Health, e-Security and Telecommunications developed by a range of European innovators from business, public administration and research & academic communities.

The AR Chinese Learning Game will be showcased in this coming European ICT Pavilion. Do visit us at our booth to experience Chinese learning - the fun way!

>> Integrated Systems ASIA 2005
CAMTech will support Christie Digital Systems, USA Inc. to showcase Virtual Reality display applications in new immersive environments in Integrated Systems ASIA 2005, October 12-14, Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 404. CAMTech provides the VR system and 3D content which will drive the two pipe curved screen display system from Christie.

>> IDA 5th Infocomm Technology Roadmap Symposium
CAMTech had the honour of participating in IDA's 5th Infocomm Technology Roadmap Symposium on 8th March 2005 held at the Raffles City Convention Centre. CAMTech showcased the Augmented Reality Chinese Character Learning application.

>> CAMTech is participating in the European Project "ULTRA"
As one of the core developers of OpenSG CAMTech is involved in the development of an Augmented Reality system for handheld PCs. One of the main development tasks requires the realisation of a performing rendering engine which offers similar features as a PC-based Virtual Reality systems. Furthermore, CAMTech will facilitate the dissemination of the project results to the Asian market through its existing network to industry, and government.

>> CAMTech provides Technical Support for the Incident at the MRT Circle Line Worksite that led to the collapse of Nicoll Highway on 20 April 2004
CAMTech was requested for the provision of a 3D computer visualisation by the Committee of Inquiry. Subsequently, CAMTech developed a 3D model of the accident scene at the MRT Circle Line worksite.

CAMTech also provided an animation video to accompany the interim report of the Committee of Inquiry.

>> CAMTech involved in MoE's GEP Programme 2005
CAMTech has been selected by the Ministry of Education again to mentor two projects for the Gifted Education Programme. Following the success of last year's Best Kool Kids Award and the Gold and Silver Awards with the project “Singapore Holo Deck”, CAMTech is mentoring 2 groups from the Raffles Girl School this year. They are focusing on Augmented Reality Applications this year creating AR-Campus and AR-Game.
